Cris's Intimacies: On the creation of images
The design of the cover and its accompanying images were born from a metaphor, in one of our final conversations. When I asked him: If you had a mirror in front of you right now, how would you see yourself? He answered: Like a fragmented face.
That reply carries a thousand images: faces frozen in time, each representing a different moment, a different self. Though broken, he also holds the strength to reassemble himself time and again, learning from every fracture. There is an undeniable echo of resilience and hope in his words. Despite it all, Cris still believes in his ability to shine. That moment of truth inspired the visual soul of this book. I set out to capture the image that reveals the emotional landscape of his life.

El diseño de la portada y las imágenes que la acompañan surgieron de una metáfora, en una de nuestras últimas conversaciones. Cuando le pregunté: «Si tuvieras un espejo frente a ti ahora mismo, ¿cómo te verías?», respondió: «Como un rostro fragmentado».
Esa respuesta contiene mil imágenes: rostros congelados en el tiempo, cada uno representando un momento diferente, un yo diferente. Aunque roto, también conserva la fuerza para reconstruirse una y otra vez, aprendiendo de cada fractura. Hay un eco innegable de resiliencia y esperanza en sus palabras. A pesar de todo, Cris aún cree en su capacidad de brillar. Ese momento de verdad inspiró el alma visual de este libro. Me propuse capturar la imagen que revela el panorama emocional de su vida.
El viaje hacia el amor verdadero y la paz interior siempre comienza en el interior.
